Information We Collect
• **Anonymous Firebase UID** – generated automatically when you first load the app. • **Quiz Interaction Data** – your swipe choices (AI vs. real), score, streak, average response time, timestamps, and session ID. • **Local Storage Keys** – `current_session_id` and `quiz_results_<sessionId>` held in your browser. • **Device & Usage Metrics** – non-identifying analytics (e.g., IP-derived country, user-agent) collected by Vercel Analytics and Google AdSense. We do not collect names, emails, or other direct identifiers.
How We Use Your Information
We use the data to (1) compute and display your quiz results, (2) improve quiz quality and detect abuse, (3) personalise advertising through Google AdSense, and (4) create aggregated datasets and insights that may be sold to third parties. Aggregated exports may include the anonymous UID to distinguish unique users but contain no personal identity information.
Cookies and Local Storage
The Service itself does not set traditional browser cookies. Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check, Google AdSense, and reCAPTCHA may set their own cookies or use similar technologies for security, measurement, and ad personalisation purposes. We also store two items in localStorage (session ID and quiz results) so the quiz and results pages function correctly. A GDPR-compliant cookie-consent banner may be introduced in future updates.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We display personalised (interest-based) ads supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or mobile identifiers to serve ads and measure their effectiveness. Google reCAPTCHA
This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. reCAPTCHA helps us verify that interactions come from real people, not bots, by collecting device and usage data.
Data Sharing and Sale
We never sell or rent personal information. We may share or sell aggregated datasets that include anonymous UIDs, quiz responses, and performance metrics. These datasets cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.
Data Retention
We retain quiz-session records indefinitely for research, analytics, and commercial purposes. If you provide us with your anonymous UID, we will delete that specific record set upon request, subject to legal obligations.
Your Rights and Choices

Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If we become aware that we have unintentionally collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
